Web Site Design and Development

Graphic design services then use the taxonomy and an established brand identity to create visual conceptions of the Web site design, illustrating how the Web site will appear to end users. Prototaph Interactive's design review/revision/approval process brings the client into the discussion and ensures correct presentation and a compelling design.  The final approved conceptions serve as the basis for the look and feel of the site.

The next step is Web site templating: "slicing and dicing" Web-ready graphics from the conceptual designs, then using standards-compliant, optimized HTML, CSS and Javascript code to build a template for the Web site.  All Prototaph Interactive Web templates employ contemporary best practices for Web publishing, including tableless layout, source ordering of content and conformance with established Web standards, including search engine optimization (SEO).  In addition, they render accurately across all contemporary Web browsers and degrade gracefully in older Web browsers.  Once complete, the template will be used to build out the site, either as the source for a series of "flat" Web pages, or as a dynamic template applied to a content management system.
